Our client is an award-winning consumer brand with their global headquarters in Newcastle upon Tyne where the role will be based 3 days a week. This is an exciting role working with one of the worlds most loved and trusted brands to plan and deliver the strategy for category plans.
Role responsibilities:
- Define and own the strategic direction for assigned categories, driving commercial agendas to meet targets.
- Lead the development of 4p action plans ensuring rigorous execution and timely delivery.
- Develop compelling category strategies based on regional insights and data analysis to fuel growth.
- Monitor and analyse category performance, making data driven adjustments to optimise results.
- Drive innovation through NPD initiatives and support product teams throughout the launch process.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance organise sales through impactful activation plans.
- Report on performance every month versus key competitors where applicable: share/sell in/sell out/margin contribution. If performance is tracking behind AOP the growth plans will need to be adapted accordingly.
Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in insights, data platforms, Microsoft excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn insights into actionable plans.
- Deep understanding of the marketing mix (4P) and it’s role in driving ROS
- Leadership experience with a proven track record of motivating teams and driving results.
- Excellent influencing skills and the ability to foster alignment across cross functional teams.
- Curious, analytical and proactive mindset with a passion for driving growth.
- Resilient and determined attitude with a drive to succeed and overcome obstacles.
