Are you available for a 6-month contract as People Coordinator? We are working with a Sunderland based Charity who due to an exciting project have an opening in their People team reporting into the Head of People and OD. You will provide high quality People, advice, support, and administration across the organisation and to support the People Business Partners.

Change Management

  • Support the People Business Partners and work alongside the People Advisors on the delivery of change management programmes and initiatives including TUPE transfer, redundancy, restructuring and changes to terms and conditions.
  • Use own initiative to proactively and methodically coordinate change management programmes, ensuring robust processes are followed in line with legislation and policy.
  • Provide advice on change management initiatives including consideration of organisational and service redesign; job role design; and alternative delivery models in order to improve service delivery.
  • Support with the delivery of recruitment strategies aligned to new and transforming services.
  • Supporting people related elements of bid writing, mobilisation and demobilisation projects including providing and reviewing people data, cost and highlighting of organisational risk.

 

Case Management

  • Undertake all administrative aspects of case and change management including note taking at meetings, writing of letters and reports, coordinating meetings and ensuring all timescales are met including legislative timescales.
  • Work alongside the People Business Partners and People Advisors to support employee relations cases, in line with employment legislation, ensuring that policies are adhered to and business continuity is supported whilst cases are resolved in an effective and timely manner.
  • In line with best practice, policy and employment legislation, provide professional HR advice to managers and employees across the full range of employee relations issues including sickness absence, grievance, disciplinary, capability, recruitment and retention and performance management.
  • In line with best practice, policy and employment legislation, provide first line HR advice to managers and employees across a range of employee relations issues including sickness absence, grievance, disciplinary, capability, recruitment and retention and performance management.
  • Supporting managers with the investigation of cases including disciplinary and grievances as required, including taking minutes, investigatory interviews, as well as letter and report writing.
  • Provide support and guidance to managers on probation review and performance management process, liaising with managers to ensure timescales and deadlines are met.

 

Other Duties

  • Coach, support and challenge managers in the application of People policies and procedures, providing advice and guidance on people issues in order to minimise risks and develop a positive and productive culture and enhance employee engagement.
  • Responsibility for People data, such as HR records, ensuring that all information is up to date and accurate and gathering statistical information to produce and inform reports.
  • Assisting with the co-ordination of recruitment and selection for colleagues and volunteers; liaising with managers, and supporting progress on pre-employment checks including right to work checks, seeking references and processing DBS applications.
  • Deliver and support training/coaching to a variety of stakeholders on HR related topics.
  • Assist in the updating and creating of People related policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring effective communication with payroll to ensure that all new employees, and leavers and changes to terms and conditions administration is completed in a timely manner.  Including issuing staff handbooks and contracts of employment.
  • Assist with People related projects, leading smaller scale projects.

The role is offering a salary of £28,500 with hybrid working and excellent benefits.
