Are you a highly skilled Panel Wirer ready to tackle your next professional challenge?

 

We're on the hunt for meticulous and experienced Panel Wirers to join our client a dynamic manufacturing team based in Gateshead, this is a full-time permanent role with flexible start and finish times to suit you and excellent overtime rates and opportunity. There will be a requirement for international travel approx. 4 times per year which is expensed by the company.

Main Duties:

  • To electrically assemble complex electrical assemblies using any necessary wiring and panel building disciplines.
  • To ensure that all assemblies are constructed to the correct current technical specification.
  • Lay out electrical components to design wiring diagrams.
  • Participation in training in lean manufacturing techniques.
  • To satisfy internal quality standards and procedures as laid down by the QMS.
  • The feedback of information to the Electrical Assembly Supervisor/Assembly Manager in the interests of value engineering and quality.
  • To work to and adhere to the safe working procedures and practices.
  • Ensure that housekeeping within relevant areas is to a level practical to maintain a satisfactory turn round of work, and does not impact upon the requirements of Health and Safety
  • Adhere to and assist in the implementation of current and future working procedures and practices.
  • To be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Carry out any duties requested by the Electrical Assembly Supervisor/Manager that are within capabilities.
  • Maintain product continuity and quality.

 

What we need from you:

  • Desirable: Electrical Engineering L3 / Apprentice trained / Industry specific qualification
  • Essential: Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in this role
  • Essential: Previous panel wiring and site installation experience is essential
  • Essential: You must be able to understand electrical drawings
  • Good communication skills and an understanding of verbal and written English
  • Excellent attendance levels and attitude
  • Safety awareness to work to documentation
