BMC Recruitment is delighted to be working with a law firm in the Durham area to assist them in their recruitment for a legal secretary to join them on a permanent basis.

Background

This role is perfect for someone who has existing legal secretary experience and is looking for a new challenge. The role is full time, office based.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

The role will encompass providing support to the Wills, Trusts and Probate team and includes:

  • Supporting fee earners
  • Audio and copy typing
  • Processing claims for client related expenses as well as personal expenses for members of the team
  • Overseeing the general administration of all files in the department
  • Organising client appointments and arranging meeting rooms

 

Person specification

  • Previous experience as a legal secretary is essential, ideally 2-3 years
  • Previous experience of working as a legal secretary for a WTP department is desirable however not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
