  • Managing the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions to ensure appropriate processes to support the processing of payments

Contract DevOps Engineer

They have production and non-production environments, four in total. Each environment has the same applications and functions. The infrastructure will differ in each environment – development will not be as extensive or resilient as production.

The configurations are currently managed manually and can unfortunately differ due to this such as different versions of operating systems and software across each customer brand in each environment. This also includes specifications of servers (VM). This causes issues as what is installed in each environment and server can differ dramatically and impacts the stability of the environment.

What our client requires is a DevOps Engineer to come in and implement configuration management across all the environments. This is expected to be in two phases:

Phase 1: Server Configuration – Core kernel, Operating System and Software

Phase 2: Legacy application configuration

To accomplish this you will have extensive Unix/Linux experience, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt. Client’s expectations are at the end of the contract to have consistent and repeatable configurations across all environments that are tracked and audited.
