The Company

Our North Tyneside based client are looking for a Strong Technical Support Engineer to join their in-house team on a 3 month contract.

Job Role

A good level of technical skills is essential for this role, with a fundamental understanding of Networking, Server configuration, Active Directory, Exchange Management, Microsoft products and virtualisation.

The following skills are essential:

  • Wireless Networking (Wi-Fi), WAN / LAN technologies, TCP/IP suite including DNS and DHCP
  • Routers and switches principals and exposure
  • Configuration of Windows, Android, Fire OS and Apple devices
  • Knowledge of Hyper-V / VMware
  • Anti-Virus and Malware Technologies
  • Veeam Backup And Replication
  • Backup management
  • Firewall & Proxy management
  • HP / CISCO Switches
  • Email protocols including (IMAP and POP)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 / 365
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2012 and above
  • Microsoft Exchange
