Projects Administrator


£20,000 - £25,000


Projects Administrator required on a full-time permanent basis – I am working exclusively with my client based in Gateshead, who require a hard-working and skilled Projects Administrator who has extensive experience of working within the Construction, Engineering or Manufacturing industry.


Main Duties:

  • Create and update workflows
  • Prepare and provide documentation to internal projects team and managers
  • Retrieve necessary information (e.g. user/client requirements and relevant case studies)
  • Monitor project progress and address potential issues
  • Coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet requirements
  • Measure and report on project performance
  • Act as the point of contact for all participants
  • Raising of all project Purchase Orders
  • Raising of all Sub-Contract Orders & maintaining Logs
  • Stock material requests & replenishment (where required)
  • Management of the administrational process for all projects in your team
  • Provide programme updates into the central programme
  • Create, print and deploy all site files for the Project team
  • Assisting the Project Management team with the management and reporting of all Key Stages & documentation
  • Raising of all sub-contractor payment certificates for sign off by the Project Manager
  • Weekly timesheet validation against project & payroll processing
  • Organising surplus material returns to the suppliers
  • Record all invoice queries and passing to the relevant person
  • Create project Files
  • Scan & Filing of all project returns
  • Central Functions
  • Responsible for the upkeep of business logs

What we need from you:

  • Min 1 years experience as a Project Administrator, Project Coordinator or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with flowcharts, technical documentation and schedules
  • Knowledge of project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project)
  • Solid organisation and time-management skills
  • Team spirit and work effectively to deadlines
  • Flexibility in schedule
  • NVQ Business Administration or related field desirable
