Are you an experienced or newly qualified Management Accountant who is looking for a progression route to Finance Manager level?
BMC Recruitment Group are delighted to be working alongside an established business in the Durham area who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to their finance team on a full-time, permanent contract.
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of the organisation's management accounts including cash flow and profit and loss statements. The role will encompass some business partnering and you will be supporting with the preparation of budgets and financial reporting. Differing from your typical Management Accountant position there is the opportunity to gain experience within different functions and there is a real progression plan for you to become a Finance Manager within the next 6-12 months with a salary increase.
This role would ideally suit a newly qualified and ambitious Management Accountant however they are open to more experienced candidates.
Working Times
8am - 5pm (potential flexibility on these times)
Hybrid Remote Working
3 days a week working from home (you can work more within the office if you like)
Job Duties
- Prepare and maintenance of management accounts.
- Production and maintenance of Balance Sheets, P&L Statements, and Cash Flows.
- Ensure financial compliance by developing and implementing financial controls for best practice.
- Liaising with key stakeholders and business partner to help provide financial reporting and insight into business performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate reporting of key performance indicators.
- Assisting in the preparation of the budget and monthly financial Reports.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial projects as required.
- Work directly with the Financial Controller in assisting with the supervision and mentoring of junior staff members
Person Specification
- Qualified ACCA , ACA or CIMA accountant
- Excellent analytical and financial reporting skills
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good working knowledge on Excels
