Our client is a large local charity that works to improve the lives of vulnerable people across the North East. With hybrid and flexible working available ( 4 days on site, 1 day at home) the role could be the ideal opportunity for a Senior HR Assistant or HR Coordinator looking to take a step up. You will work alongside the HR team to provide advice and guidance to managers and staff on all HR related issues, as well as assist managers in understanding and implementing policies and procedures.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist Managers to understand and implement policies and procedures
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on HR Managers on all aspects of the employee lifecycle including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and parental leave.
  • Assist with the organisations recruitment strategy including reviewing JD’s, posting adverts and overseeing the onboarding process across the organisation
  • Champion culture across the organisation, including making recommendations for improvement.
  • Plan and implement employee training and development programmes
  • Assist in employee performance management process


Person Specification

  • It is essential that you are a true generalist and is a self-starter with the ability to prioritise.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation
  • CIPD qualifications are desirable but by no means essential
  • High level of computer literacy
