We’re working with a well known and respected retail business based in Middlesborough as they recruit for their new Ecommerce Manager, as a result of their growing digital performance team. This is a unique opportunity for a shopper optimisation orientated digital marketer to be part of an online retail migration project with one of the city's most successful B2C retailers. You’ll be joining a strong, established team in a more senior role to develop and deliver the business marketing strategy alongside a third party agency. Key areas of your role will be to set performance benchmarks for all new digital activity, leading to proven ROI.



  • To successfully develop & execute the business’ online sales marketing strategy
  • Generation digital communication campaigns with external agencies, prioritising retail performance
  • Management of digital spend and improvement of average order value (so working knowledge of ad spend in Google Ad Manager and Shopping Campaigns is key)
  • Plan and deliver email marketing campaigns
  • Regular reporting against marketing plans and key deliverables


Person specification:

  • Proven ability to design and deliver marketing strategies that achieve significant outcomes
  • Ability to balance commercial and data driven decision making with creative flair
  • 2 years previous eCommerce experience with strong understanding of eCommerce strategy, optimisation and best practices
  • Knowledge and experience in content and technical SEO, paid and organic search
