Commercial Assistant

Our client, who is an award winning, national house builder are looking for a Commercial Assistant to be based in Tyne and Wear on Maternity cover for 6 to 9 Months contract

To assist the Regional Quantity Surveyors to ensure that all sub-contractor accounts are maintained and you must have previous experience working with Coins system previously. This is a temporary position for Maternity Cover for a well-known Housing Developer - New Build housing projects. Salary is up to £25K pro rata, per annum

Duties Specific duties outlined below:

  • Supply chain enquires & returns, analysis, orders
  • Inputting/updating orders on Coins
  • Inputting labour only onto master spreadsheet Cost to complete back up to valuations Customer care extras – measure, quotes, orders
  • Mark up drawings with Roads and Sewers/Groundworks/External works progress
  • Administer contra – charges
  • Liaise with the Finance Department to ensure that sub-contractor payment procedures are always adhered to and that all agreed terms are met.
  • Assist the Finance Department with the efficient operation of sub-contractor preferential payment terms.
  • Resolution of all invoices, to include communication with other staff and external sub-contractors as required.
  • Requesting, chasing, and maintaining sub-contractor pre-qualification information.
  • Candidate Knowledge and experience of house building industry would be an advantage Strong organisational and administrative skills Excellent IT skills, especially Excel Knowledge of Coins system
  • Experience of working within a busy office environment
