We are recruiting a Permanent Claims Assistant/Admin support for our client, a growing Law Firm in the heart of Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming calls and forwarding or taking detailed, accurate messages where necessary.
  • Monitoring the claims in-box for new claims
  • Supporting Fee earners
  • Ensuring all necessary documents for new claims are attached in the database
  • Assisting with new claim allocation to the most suitable Fee Earner
  • Managing the claims inbox and dealing with all correspondence accordingly ensuring all follow up is complete where necessary
  • Verifying bank details
  • Drafting witness statements
  • Sending confirmation emails to Insurers
  • General administrational support as required

Required Skills

  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
  • Confident with Microsoft Office packages including Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work calmly and methodically under pressure within strict timelines.
  • Extremely well organised and ability to prioritise
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working both individually and as part of a team.

What they are offering
A salary of up to £24,000 with a hybrid offering after probation (6 months), 25 days holiday and a good pension scheme.
