We have an exciting opportunity for an Audit Manager in our thriving client accountancy practice.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Audit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the team, ensuring the efficient and profitable execution of audit projects. Your duties will include:
- Project Management:Lead and manage audit projects, ensuring efficient team performance.
- Client Relations:Liaise with clients to arrange planning and completion meetings.
- Budget Management:Prepare budgets in line with agreed audit fees during the planning stage.
- Progress Monitoring:Monitor the assurance team's progress and adjust plans as necessary.
- Communication:Collaborate with the engagement partner to update them on audit progress and arrange meetings with the team and clients when needed.
- Team Development:Coach and develop team members, fostering technical competencies.
- Empowerment:Encourage individual responsibility and independent thinking within the team.
- Performance Reviews:Conduct timely performance reviews and provide feedback and on-the-job training.
- Client Relationships:Develop and maintain long-term, productive client relationships and networks.
- Quality Assurance:Review work completed by senior and assistant staff, ensuring timely resolution of review points.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in audit and assurance services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Client-focused approach with a commitment to quality service.
- Willingness to travel to Berwick upon Tweed when required.
- Ability to work from our Durham office as needed.
