BMC Recruitment Group were asked to assist with the recruitment of a Head of Finance; a newly created position as the Finance Director had left the organisation. We were set the task of identifying a qualified accountant with strong stakeholder engagement, an ability to manage a team and a capability to handle multiple points of contact and a certain type of chemistry in line with a sporting venue. BMC provided a full mapping of the North East market and ensured each candidate was interviewed face-to-face and could provide working examples of how they had managed a finance team and juggled multiple priorities with different stakeholders. BMC successfully shortlisted candidates and the new incumbent has now been selected and is settling in nicely with the rest of the Newcastle Falcons team. The position was recruited within two weeks, after other internal resources and external advertising were exhausted.
